Tamara Slupchynskyj is the Owner and Head Instructor of Core Pilates. She has been practicing Pilates for 20 years. She has trained with two master instructors and with a renowned Pilates elder, Lolita San Miguel, who trained directly with and is one of only two students ever certified by founder Joseph Pilates himself.

She has worked with Breast Cancer Survivors, Hip and Knee Replacement patients (work done prior to strengthen and postoperative). Has helped Multiple Sclerosis Clients with balance, body awareness, stress reduction, flexibility, and strength.

Tamara is a Certified Golf Conditioning Specialist, she can help you help you hit the ball consistently farther and straighter, with reduced risk of injury and back pain. You will increase strength, stability, flexibility, control and sharpen focus. Increase your CLUB HEAD SPEED!!!

Originally from Japan, Ryoko Kudo is a dance artist from New York. Ryoko is also an aerialist and has performed in the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Ryoko began her journey with Pilates after several injuries through her dance career. Through Pilates, she began addressing her habits and imbalances, which were causing her injuries and began retraining her body.

Ryoko received her Pilates Certification from the Kane School of Core Integration and utilizes her knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy to help clients from all walks of life, ranging from dancers to businessmen ages 10-80.

In her sessions, Ryoko integrates her personal experience using her body as an instrument to create a fun and intelligent movement experience. Each session focuses on alignment and breath to maximize potential for stress-free, dynamic movement.

Kristen Sarlo is very excited to join the team at Core Pilates! She has been a fitness enthusiast her entire life and recently left her corporate NYC career to fulfill her life passion to become a Certified Pilates Instructor. Kristen is a graduate of the prestigious contemporary BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training program. She provides her clients with a challenging and fun workout and loves helping her clients improve their bodies and minds.

Originally from South Korea, Yera Kim is a student pursuing studies in Physical Therapy.

Yera who used to be a skater for 7 years is prior to learning Pilates in New York City, after losing 20 pounds without specific reason. Through Pilates, she earned strength which never had before and changed her career with passion of learning movement and its effect.

Yera Received her certification from Balanced Body Korea and have continued her education in Balance Body New York. She has worked with Scoliosis, Kyphosis, Coxa Posture Correction, Osteoarthritis, and Pre/Postnatal clients. She has assisted in helping her clients to get back to their normal daily routines after surgical and sports injuries.

In her session, Yera focuses alignment, core strength, and maximizing physical capabilities with her knowledge of contemporary and traditional Pilates. She believes what Joseph Pilates said, “Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”
